A couple of ex-TV stars -- J.J. Walker and Dustin Diamond -- headline the "Nerds Attack the Tower" comedy show on Nov. 20 at Tower Theatre.
The comedy show should be an interesting one with both stars commonly known for being one time famous TV stars and now using their comedy to make fun of their fading fame.
J.J. Walker is known for his role on the TV show “Good Times” The role of the broadly strutting, wisecracking J.J. Evans would launch him into television superstardom. "Dyn-o-mite!" was the phrase that made him famous nationwide and still used in society vocabulary. As "Good Times" enjoyed a six-year run, Walker's fame grew exponentially.
Everyone stills remembers Screech Powers on the hit 80’s TV show Saved By the Bell. Known as Zack Morris’ nerdy best friend added comedy to the show by drooling over Lisa Turtle and never doing anything right. Dustin Diamond has been doing stand-up comedy for many years now getting his fame back in the spotlight.
Tickets are on sale now, costing $13 and $22. Details: (559) 485-9050 or visit the Tower Theatre website for more information.
